Filing Bankruptcy Is A Lot To Deal With

.... But, sometimes you've got to "Put On Your Big Girl Panties And Deal With It"!!

Yesterday I had the joy of venturing down to Oxford, MS to handle a few creditors meetings for some cases our office filed. Very routine and simple and usually painfully boring. Now, this usually confuses people when I say I'm going to "Court" and I try to explain that there is no Judge present and the hearing is not held in a courtroom, but that isn't really relevant here. If anyone has ever been present in any sort of proceeding in a consumer bankruptcy case or criminal case, then you know many people do not dress up for court. This has become routine and unremarkable to me. Often times my clients are coming from work and they just come as they are, no big problem at all. There is no jury, we don't have to really worry about how the client is being perceived as far as style of dress goes . If anything I would tell a client to not be too flashy, you are after all saying you cannot afford to pay your debts. Well yesterday, I'm sitting in the back of the rooming, reading my book killing the half an hour before my client's case is called and I look up to notice a mid-30ish woman....

This woman is wearing a bright pink t-shirt and I can only see her back. I TAKE A LOOK AT THE BACK OF HER T-SHIRT AND WRITTEN IN A MIXTURE OF CURSIVE AND BUBBLE LETTERS IS THE SLOGAN "PUT YOUR BIG GIRL PANTIES ON AND DEAL WITH IT" .... IN THE MIDDLE OF THIS HOT MESS OF SCREEN PRINTED LETTERS IS A DRAWING OF ZEBRA PRINTED PANTIES. Ahahahhahahahhaha, I nearly fell over laughing, seriously I was trying to keep quiet as to not call attention to myself. Why would someone have this shirt?????? First question that I cannot come up with a conceivable answer to, but we're just going to skip to the second question.... WHY WOULD YOU PICK OUT THIS T-SHIRT TO WEAR TO A COURT PROCEEDING???????? Who cares that you don't really need to dress up for this hearing, I am confident to say, you should not be wearing that!!!!!!!!!
